PROFESSIONAL AUDIOBOOK NARRATION
So I decided that I would make other people listen to my voice. My speaking voice though, not the one in my head; no-one wants to hear that. So I set up for high quality home voice recording and created a profile on Audiobook Creation Exchange (ACX.) Surprisingly quickly and after only a handful of auditions I got some offers, accepted one and began my narrating journey.
I am also working on my writing and hold associate membership of the Alliance of Independent Authors.
HIGH QUALITY RECORDING
At home I have the equipment that allows me to record and produce audio files to the exacting standards required by Audible, Amazon and iTunes.
Over the last two decades I have given numerous interviews for national television, radio and print media, including BBC News, BBC R4 You & Yours programme, BBC Radio Scotland, multiple local radio stations and national newspapers, and Channel 4 Dispatches.
I have been selected for these interviews due to my clear speaking voice, engaging tone and calmness; all abilities that prove useful in recording audiobooks.
